As a Manager in the Office of the Chief People Officer (OCPO) in the People & Equity division, you’ll play a critical role in advancing the work of People & Equity by providing leadership and oversight of the planning and coordination of the division’s major projects. In this role, you will work with the senior management team to develop a comprehensive major projects plan with consideration given to aspects such as resources, organizational and employee impacts and readiness, and alignment with partner divisions.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Office of the Chief People Officer, you will provide strategic advice and key stakeholder engagement, while ensuring program alignment to the division’s many major projects.
You will provide leadership in project prioritization to help the division to achieve business objectives. You will have strong partner engagement skills and will work to ensure project alignment with organizational goals, effective use of resources, ensuring commitments to our partners are maintained and monitor program delivery to ensure appropriate and timely sequencing of projects and their impacts on the organization.
Your role will have both an inward and outward view, where you will also work to identify corporate programs and policies and their impacts on the division and build this information into the major project plan.
As a Manager in the Office of the Chief People Officer, you will work with a range of partners to understand their business and people needs to ensure that the strategy and plan can address their pain points and set a foundation for effective program delivery. With a strong understanding of Human Resources and a knack for research, project management and excellent partner engagement skills you understand the impact of policy and process change on employees and are skilled in measuring that impact.
You will have strong relationship building skills with an understanding of the needs of various corporate partners and will work to enhance our divisional partner relationships through a review of existing partner tables, which will include the development of recommendations to build/develop existing or new tables that you will lead People & Equity division’s engagement in.
Key Qualifications:
- Extensive experience working within a Human Resources function or division; HR Designations considered an asset
- Considerable experience in project management, with experience in delivering complicated HR projects as well as overseeing or providing advice to others on project delivery
- Considerable experience working with cross-functional teams and managing partner relationships at all levels
- Extensive experience in presenting to and working directly with senior management across an organization
- Collaborative approach in solving problems and addressing project issues
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence without authority
- Extensive experience in establishing effective and collaborative working relationships with staff at all levels of an organization and internal and external partners.
