Job Summary:
To provide senior level technical and application support to the Pension, Payroll & Employee Benefits (PPEB) Division, specializing in SuccessFactors Employee Central Module development, integration and implementation. To liaise with stakeholders to determine system requirements that enhance business processes. To deliver senior level configuration driven functional solutions and liaise with various teams to develop applications. To identify root cause, develop and implement fixes. To manage project teams in the establishment of application architectures and enhancement.
Major Responsibilities:
- Implements detailed plans and recommends policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements including SuccessFactors Onboarding 2.0 implementation project.
- Supervises, motivates and trains assigned staff. Assists the Supervisor, Production Support in ensuring effective teamwork, high standards of work quality and organizational performance, and continuous learning. d Participates in enterprise initiatives to ensure continuous integration of systems and data across enterprise systems. .
- Supervises the day-to-day operation of assigned staff including scheduling, and reviewing of work. Authorizes and coordinates vacation and overtime requests for project-based assignment. Monitors and evaluates staff performance.
- Provides input into and administers assigned budget for specific assigned project, ensuring that expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations.
- Plans and implements system upgrades, SuccessFactors half-year releases, and other related projects.
- Maintains, supports and enhances various technical and functional aspects of the SuccessFactors (SF) Employee Central module and its integration with other modules/systems (e.g. Onboarding module, Replication to SAP ECC) including troubleshooting of technical and application problems, analysis of business requirements and their translations into SAP specific context.
- Provides reports and information to senior management and departmental staff related to pension, payroll and employee benefits, and ensures the accuracy and integrity of reports
- Liaises with Technology Services Division, external technical resources and software vendors regarding technical issues including hardware/ network, file maintenance, client refresh, AODA compliance , and external interfaces with various systems including SAP ECC.
- Reviews payroll technical and application architectures for quality assurance, in accordance with Corporate Policy and SAP standards, ensuring the integrity of payroll data and records.
- Provides advice and guidance to the PPEB and Technology Services Division staff on the use of the systems, troubleshoots and debugs issues
- Develops business and technical specifications, configuration, security and testing documents. Performs unit testing in developing regions, recommends test scenarios to testers, reports system issues to SAP via SAP Incident and communicates the changes to all stakeholders, and trainers for inclusion in the Business Process Procedures and Job Aids.
- Develops and manages project plans, performs system analysis activities, participates in the research and testing, provides contingencies, requests resources, and establishes priorities. Provides work direction, leadership and oversight to team members on a project based assignment, assesses progress against the plan, authorizes sign off at each stage of the project including the final production sign-off.
- Implements system changes related to policy/contract/legislation), Support Packs, SAP notes, SuccessFactors (SF) half-year releases, employee data workflows, User Interface (UI) and business rules, through the creation of Service Requests and Changes in SAP Solution Manager application,. Determines requirements (such as staffing, SAP system landscape), reviews and identifies changes, analyzes the impact on operations. Determines the most efficient way to implement system changes, establishes and monitors timelines, Assists in communicating changes to related areas/stakeholders.
Key Qualifications:
- University degree in computer science or related discipline or the approved equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Extensive Experience in SuccessFactors development and implementation on the Employee Central (EC) module (including Foundation Objects, custom MDF, Business Rules, Transactions – Event Reasons, Alerts, Notifications, Workflow, File Import, Role-Based Permission, Picklists, Reporting, integration Center, replication to SAP ECC, etc.)
- Experience working on large and complex projects or teams including preparing, organizing and presenting project documentation (e.g. business cases, feasibility studies, project plans).
- Highly skilled in conducting business requirement and blueprinting workshops
- Extensive analytical, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage workload under strict time constraints
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to prepare and present detailed research proposals, methodologies, polices, standard project plans and reports.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and work collaboratively with others in a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to analyze performance quality measures and provide continuous improvement,
- Ability to supervise staff in a unionized environment.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends from time to time.
- Ability to support the Toronto Public Service values to ensure a culture that champions equity, diversity and respectful workplaces.
- Knowledge of SF Recruitment (RCM) and/or Onboarding (ONB) would be an asset.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and cloud integration would be an asset.
- SuccessFactors certification would be an asset.
