As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Salesforce CRM Developer to join our dynamic team.
As a Senior Salesforce CRM Developer, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing end-to-end Salesforce solutions using a variety of Salesforce components and technologies. You will play a key role in driving successful implementation projects, ensuring digital accessibility and AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) compliance, and providing expertise in CRM and data model design. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for Salesforce Development to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of our clients. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will lead and mentor other team members, design enterprise solutions and software components, and you will ensure that all applications adhere to digital accessibility standards and AODA compliance, reflecting our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility. Furthermore, you will have extensive experience working with Source Code Management Systems like GitLab and implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Major Responsibilities:
- Implements detailed plans and recommends policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements.
- Supervises, motivates and trains assigned staff, ensuring effective teamwork, high standards of work quality and organizational performance, continuous learning and encourages innovation in others.
- Supervises the day to day operation of all assigned staff including the scheduling, assigning and reviewing of work. Authorizes and coordinates vacation and overtime requests. Monitors and evaluates staff performance, approves salary increments, hears grievances and recommends disciplinary action when necessary.
- Provides input into and administers assigned budget, ensuring that expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations.
- Designs and implements scalable and high-performing enterprise CRM solutions using Salesforce technology stack to meet business needs and drive innovation.
- Leads the implementation and migration of various electronic CRM solutions, leveraging strong understanding of CRM principles and data models.
- Implements data management strategies, including archiving, backup and restore processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Performs routine Salesforce administration functions, including user management, security settings and data management tasks.
- Develops and implements Salesforce applications, including customization, configuration and integration.
- Identifies, recommends, develops and implements IT systems in areas where automation and technology solutions/systems can be applied, streamlining business processes and operations, and reducing or reallocating employee hours, potentially leading to downsizing/restructuring or contracting out etc.
- Optimizes Salesforce performance through code enhancements and system upgrades. Conducts code reviews and ensures adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Ensures that all applications adhere to digital accessibility standards and AODA compliance, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
- Establishes and manages Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing, building and deployment processes.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and implement Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Analytics Cloud solutions and technologies.
- Works with a variety of integration tools to integrate Salesforce CRM with external systems and applications.
- Leads, advises and mentors staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Utilizes the salesforce native/hybrid mobile app and integrates with salesforce CRM, delivering seamless and engaging mobile experiences.
- Informs and educates Senior Managers, business users and technology peers on technology trends and the effective use of business and technology solutions and information management.
- Leads, facilitates and contributes to the design, creation, development and sustainment of corporate standards for the Division, including formalized project management and various methodology, data warehousing architecture, data modeling, metadata, change management and application development and migration.
- Accesses, manages and utilizes confidential information and intellectual property to guide informed decision making on technology development.
- Assesses and analyzes organizational effectiveness issues and prepares confidential reports on program and service delivery changes, systems, processes and practices.
- Works with management to provide oversight and evaluate the work performance of external service providers with respect to quality, timeline, cost and completion of required tasks.
- Develops business cases and reports and provides in-depth advice and makes recommendations to senior management related to changes in staffing levels/resource requirements/allocations, financial and operational plans, alternate service delivery, changes in business methods and processes, operational and/or labour utilization issues including opportunities for efficiencies and savings.
- Leads recruitment efforts to meet project and business requirements.
- Provides technical leadership on projects and recommends timelines on work, resources required, and automation integrations and identifies, addresses and mitigates scope creep, challenges, and procurement requirements.
- Provides assessments and recommendations of modern technology trends on the effective use, acquisition and integration of technology by the City.
- Identifies and analyzes current business processes and practices in the context of evolving information architecture and performance measures; prepares feasibility studies and recommends overall technical solutions for business initiatives and leverages existing enterprise infrastructure investments.
- Recommends and implements security, privacy and quality assurance requirements consistent with both the Municipal Freedom of Information Privacy and Protection Act (MFIPPA) and corporate and legislated standards regarding the storage, processing, and retention of confidential data, as well as the Personal Health Information Protection Act.
- Assesses and recommends scalable multi-jurisdictional business and technical solutions that meet client and business requirements in the context of corporate standards, policies and procedures for information technologies and architectures, including determining requirements, conducting research and evaluations and obtaining all approvals and signoffs.
Key Qualifications:
Your application for the role of Senior Salesforce Specialist should describe your qualifications as they relate to:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator and Salesforce Certified Platform Developer credentials are required.
- Extensive experience in Visualforce, APEX, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, triggers and flows, and implementation of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Analytics Cloud.
- Extensive experience as a Salesforce Developer, specializing in CRM solutions, with proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Considerable experience implementing and migrating different eCRM solutions, with a deep understanding of CRM principles and data models, and best practices.
- Considerable experience with Source Code Management (GitLab), branching, merging, code reviews as well as CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of digital accessibility standards and AODA compliance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
