Reporting to the Superintendent Golf Courses, the Sports Facility Attendant will perform daily maintenance tasks including waste removal, tee block rotation, sand trap raking for all the tee and green complexes at the 5 City of Toronto Golf Courses.
Major Responsibilities:
- Repair divots and ball marks on tees and greens
- Move tee blocks
- Empties garbage pails and picks up litter and debris around the course and at each tee-off area.
- May lay sod or rake traps
- Books and sells admissions, rents equipment and supplies. (Tennis Courts)
- Maintains admission and other records
- Performs other related work as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:
- Experience in customer service delivery working in an outdoor setting dealing directly with the public and/or staff.
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent combination of education & experience
You must also have:
- Must be physically capable of performing required duties.
- Must be able to work outdoors and in all weather conditions.
- Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned as well as work in multiple locations.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the provisions that apply to this work including WHMIS.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, clients and the general public.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, prepare and maintain manual and electronic records
- Knowledge of golf course operations is considered an asset.
- Possession of valid Province of Ontario Class "G" Driver's License is considered an asset.
