Job Description

In this role, you will be providing testing expertise and advice in the initiation, analysis, design, development, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise solutions. This resource will contribute to the testing of the IBM Maximo Platform as part of the EWMS (Enterprise Work Management Solutions) program.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Participates in business requirement gathering, analysis, and design to address business opportunities and challenges.
  • Coordinates with internal and external groups on the accomplishment of deliverables.
  • Conducts testing of programs and systems for the unit, system, performance, usability, user acceptance, disaster recovery, and implementation tests.
  • Prepares test cases and test scripts for system, performance, usability, and acceptance testing of system solutions developed.
  • Executes test cases under varying circumstances.
  • Documents and evaluates test results.
  • Detects, logs, and reports program bugs and glitches.
  • Tracks defects and helps troubleshoot errors.
  • Reviews test procedures and develops test scripts.
  • Drives QA efforts using Automation tools

 

Key Qualifications:


Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:

 

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or college diploma in QA Testing or an approved combination of education and relevant experience

2. Experience as a QA Tester or in a related field

3. Experience using web-based testing frameworks (ex: OpenText UFT, Selenium WebDriver) and performance testing tool ( ex: Loadrunner)

 

You must also have:

  • Knowledge of various programming languages (e.g. VBA, Java,)
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Determination and tenacity to commit to the end when solving issues
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Experience using project tracking software considered a strong asset (ex: ALM/ JIRA)
