Job Description

Reporting to the SAP Solution, Planning & Delivery Senior Enterprise Solutions Technical Lead, the Senior Systems Integrator Technology Services (SAP SuccessFactors/SAP HCM Supervisor) provides technical and people leadership for the City’s SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) technology portfolio.


In this role, you will support the ongoing evolution, modernization, and integration of the City’s SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HCM solutions, including initiatives related to S/4HANA and enterprise system integrations.


Working in a complex enterprise environment, you will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to support strategic technology priorities, operational service delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.

Major Responsibilities:


People Leadership & Operational Oversight

  • Supervise, mentor, motivate, and support assigned technical staff, fostering collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and innovation.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, including assigning and reviewing work, scheduling resources, monitoring performance, and supporting employee development and performance management activities.
  • Ensure operational priorities and service delivery commitments are effectively managed across project and sustainment environments.


Enterprise Project & Service Delivery

  • Lead and oversee assigned SAP HCM/SuccessFactors initiatives, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, issue resolution, change management, and quality assurance activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional technical and business resources to support operational excellence and successful project execution.
  • Develop and implement detailed plans, standards, procedures, and best practices related to program and operational requirements.


Technology Strategy & Solution Delivery

  • Contribute to the design, development, sustainment, and continuous improvement of enterprise technology solutions, standards, methodologies, and integration approaches.
  • Assess and recommend scalable business and technical solutions aligned with corporate architecture standards, operational objectives, and evolving business needs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiencies, and cross-divisional collaboration.


Vendor, Financial & Procurement Management

  • Support project financial management activities including budgeting, business cases, feasibility analysis, sole source requests, contract negotiations, and cost-benefit assessments.
  • Lead or support procurement-related activities, including the preparation of RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, SOWs, MOUs, and SLAs.
  • Provide oversight of vendors, consultants, and contractors involved in solution delivery and operational support activities.


Stakeholder Engagement & Governance

  • Collaborate with senior management, business stakeholders, and technical teams to align technology solutions with operational and strategic priorities.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations related to technology trends, modernization opportunities, governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate technical concepts, recommendations, risks, and project updates to diverse audiences including senior leadership and business partners.


Key Qualifications:

Your application for the role of Senior Systems Integrator Technology Services (SuccessFactors/HCM Supervisor) should describe your qualifications as they relate to:

  1. Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Considerable experience overseeing and/or supporting the delivery of SAP SuccessFactors in a complex enterprise environment. This includes experience in gathering requirements, configuring the SuccessFactors instances, testing, deploying, and maintaining the configuration.
  3. Considerable experience supervising or leading teams supporting SAP HCM/SuccessFactors systems in a large organization. Experience must include planning, prioritizing, and monitoring requirements and requests in alignment with established intake and change management processes.
  4. Considerable experience managing and coordinating application lifecycle activities in a complex SAP SuccessFactors environment, including bi-annual releases, upgrades, patches, testing coordination, change management, production deployment readiness, and ongoing platform sustainment.
  5. Experience with SAP HCM (S/4HANA and/or ECC) and ESS/MSS.


You must also have:

  • Solid understanding of SAP SuccessFactors modules, including Recruiting, Onboarding, and Employee Central, with the ability to engage effectively with technical experts and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and support operational service delivery in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with governance, compliance, and role-based permission models in SuccessFactors.
  • Knowledge of integrations between SuccessFactors and SAP HCM/Payroll or other enterprise systems.
  • Related certifications including in SAP HCM and/or SuccessFactors are considered assets.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
